CALL FOR PAPERS
for issue 02 of the journal Y.Z. 2025
“Popular culture and social phenomena”
For the second thematic issue of our journal, we invite papers from researchers, students and doctoral students who are exploring the topic of “Popular Culture and Social Phenomena”. We invite papers that take an in-depth look at contemporary pop cultural works, such as films, series, music, video games, festivals or social media trends, and the social phenomena they represent. In particular, we welcome papers that present a detailed analysis of a specific cultural product in terms of its social context, its mechanisms of action or its layers of symbolic meaning.
Of course, we also welcome other papers and reviews related to the mission of our journal.
Deadline for article submission: 04/07/2025
Length: one author's sheet (approx. 40 000 characters)
Submission method: manuscripts with abstract, keywords, author affiliation via the OJS platform or by e-mail to yz@ifjusagitanacs.hu.

Issue expected publication date: August - September 2025
Submitted papers will be double-blind peer-reviewed before publication to ensure impartiality and professionalism of the evaluation. The Y.Z. journal is indexed by the MTA and published articles have a DOI identifier.
